>>6320 So the thread isn't bumped. Saying Ohio and Oyasumi isn't probably worth bumping.
I forgot to say Oyasumi last night... Well anyway, Ohio!!!

Parents used to vax themselves yearly against cold, they did it for more than a decade, and it worked, they never got cold. But then they became anti-vaxxers since the bolsonaro covid years. Now they spend maybe 1/5 of the year suffering of cold. They are old, it takes them time to heal from it, and sometimes it becomes very serious. They can't ignore it, they admit that, but they still won't take the yearly shot. They're probably going to die from cold and I can't even feel bad about it. I think society was less problematic when people died in their 60s and many before that. Now we have a big population of expired retards who have the mentality of children but don't accept to be tutored.

>>5934 I think you can easily guess what they really meant. A common cold also doesn't take "time to heal" from or an actual risk of fatality even for old people.
To die is a good thing. Why keep going on forever, feeding the demiurge in this material prison with your precious divine soul, extracted through sadness and suffering? Better to cash out
>>5931 >Parents used to vax themselves yearly against cold Bullshit, old people if you're lucky. Germans rather put their dick into some Russian voodoo priests soup and defeat previously dead viruses with the power of placebos. Because this country is retarded and people riot when they are told to wash their hands after pissing.

Here's a question for programmers and/or enjoyers of card games: How do you sort a deck of ~50-100 numbered cards? Personally, I use radix sort, but I keep thinking that there must be a better way to sort them.
Just ask ChatGPT bro
>>6058 With my sexy MTG trained hands.
Chatgpt says that radix sort is better for large numbers, but since the total number of cards is so small it is better to not compare them and just place them in order.
If you're sorting real cards manually the best method is whatever you come up with since: 1. you're not going to be perfectly following a set of rules the way a computer would 2. you can read each card and intuitively know it's relative position without comparing it to the rest 3. you can read multiple cards at the same time, as well as create multiple variable stacks of cards 4. you can remember where you put a particular card 5. you can insert a card in any position you want in your stack(s) with roughly the same amount of both mental and physical effort.

Hello Bernd, One is the original, and the other is edited in Photoshop CS6. Which one is the best in your opinion? Do you think the edited photo looks exaggerated and artificial? The eyes darker, details lost?

>>6195 I'm not a fan of the first two pictures. I don't see the connection with the grass in the foreground and the people. I like the animal's posture in the fourth but the plant kind of ruins it for me. 3 is nice, but is the face really in focus if you check on a big screen? (phoneposting, sorry) >>6197 1: nice if you can get rid of the blurry blob in the foreground 2: sadly out of focus 3: I see some potential here
>>6199 Are you focussing manually? None of the kids in the first photo are in focus. The focus in the second picture seems rather random as well. The only good subject might have been the trisomy 21 kid, but the focus is somewhat behind. I can't see any exif data, but what's your aperture? Can you close it a bit and maybe bump the iso or exposure time up? A less narrow depth of field might help you in case you're only a little bit off with the focus.
>>6201 Yes, manually, I'm adapting the lens on a sony a7m1. The photos of the kids and the religious people were a test, I set f5.6-8-11 and focal length to infinity. On the viewfinder and magnified they looked okay, and I'm surprised they were out of focus, I didn't set shutter speed to 1/200 or something like that, which may be the reason... But I worry the lens is de-centered or something similar which I don't know how it's called. Like for the photo with down syndrome kid I focused completely on the fire, yet what is on focus is the crowd on the background, really strange.

>>6202 Anyway I edited one of the photo on photoshop with a square crop. It's really hard to tell when an image is being improved vs when the image was bydlo and artificial, specially with vignetting.

Why do people not wear nightcaps anymore, Bernd?
Thermal insulation of buildings. Old buildings lose most heat overnight so they get bloody cold.
>>6115 you can still wear a nightcap for extra cosiness
Warm feet and warm nose
I wear a wool beanie to sleep up in the mountains but it falls off my head throughout the night, at home I have a pretty heavy blanket for when it's cold so I don't need anything on my head.

Do you ask people you plan to give presents to what they wish for or do you just buy something and hope the person will like it?
With kids I ask. With adults it's the symbolic gesture that counts.
I only give presents when I know of something a friend would appreciate.
>>6073 This, I don't always buy gifts unless I see something I think the person will love. Most often I gift money and a heartfelt message.

>Languages with negative concord put one or more negative words after the negation of the verb. >Example: Portuguese (Eu não vejo ninguém - lit. I not see nobody - two negative words, the second only “agrees” with the first one) >English: I don’t see anyone OR I see no-one. (just one negative word) So which is better, Bernd?
2 posts omitted.
>>6017 There's less possibility for confusion with negative concord since the sentence only has negative words in it, so you can't confuse it for positive. With both positive and negative words in a sentence it leaves room for confusion in cases of mishearing etc.
>>6018 > Capacity to conceive of multiple negations -> capacity for logical thought. So that's why all Portuguese-speaking countries are the sources of geniuses and not shitholes, I see
>>6023 You have it opposite, ironically, and have revealed yourself as a t*rk. Negative concord leaves the possibility for only one level of negation.
>>6009 No negative concord is a contrivance, honestly. >>6022 This.
Negative concord used to be more common in English, but modern English declared it grammatically incorrect and did away with it. There are definitely more looney grammatically rules of English though, like word order deciding word type (subject/object).
