by BBC Scandal Bernd 2025-11-10 08:26:08 No. 21550
>In Trump's speech in Washington DC on 6 January 2021, he said: "We're going to walk down to the Capitol, and we're going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women." >However, in the Panorama edit he was shown saying: "We're going to walk down to the Capitol... and I'll be there with you. And we fight. We fight like hell." >The two sections that were stitched together were originally more than 50 minutes apart. the BBC vid was published in 2021 in plain view of the whole world, and they are resigning just now - it took bloody 5 years to reason that the guys were lying.
News outlets lie, twist, selectively edit and cherrypick information all the time. Except now "Daddy" Trump comes crushing and he has to be pleased for some mysterious reason.
>>21550 >We're going to walk down to the Capitol, and we're going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women. What's that even supposed to mean?

>>22433 Compensation for what? Donald is already a fat lolcow.
The particularities of this story are less interesting than the overall trend it represents, which is a total decay and the discrediting of British institutions. Do Bernds remember the international perception of the UK in the 2000s? Deserved or not, it was night and day difference compared to today.
>>22512 In the early 2000's, I remember the UK being US lackeys who went all in on the war on terror. I am too young to remember a time when the UK was respectable.
>>22514 No one ever fell in love in Britain because of its foreign policy. They fell in love because of David Attenborough, Rowan Atkinson, Britpop, Top Gear, HP, etc. I never was an Anglophile but a few British comedies like 'Allo 'Allo were a treasured part of my own childhood. The prestige and positive image UK's rich cultural cachet conferred to it seems to have been razed to the ground over the last decade.
>>22521 Everything positive about Britain is in it's past. But Britain is not alone in that.
