Why do people think that Jesus is the son of Jehova and also actually is Jehova, where is the evidence for that? Obvisuly there is no evidence of Jhova let alone what I refer to but what I mean is what in the bible or elsewhere actually indicates or proves that he is the son of Jehova and not just a charlatan or a demon or something else? I ask this because some time ago a Swiss Bernd said that Jesus brought about updates to the laws of Jehova, laws such as those regarding sex before marriage. But if we were to apply Occam's razor to this then what would be more likely? That an all powerful and omnipotent God created laws that were then made out of date and had to be updated. Or that the Person claiming to update them was in fact not that god? The second options seems more likely.
Also, I do apologise for the lack of a Genshin impact image, I already did my dailies and am about to play a different game now.
As I understand it, Jesus didn't come to update the law. He came to explain the principle behind the law, the source of it. When questioned why he would perform "work" (healing the sick) on shabbat, he declares >“If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” Good is always good. Evil is always evil. Always has and always will be.
>>14547 That makes some degree of sense in that case. But the old testament states that if a mana and a woman sleep with each other out of wedlock they shall be put to death, then in the new testament Jesus directly contradicts that by preventing such an execution.
>>14549 Because two wrongs don't make a right. I see the old testament as the story of how the Jews came to understand God by degrees. I personally take it as facts mixed with fiction. Did God deliver the Law word by word to the Jews? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe the Jews weren't ready for the whole truth, and had to make do with laws fit for them at the time. Until Jesus came and told them the real truth.
>>14554 It's not about wrongs or right but punishing people for crimes. There is no reason why they would not have been ready for the whole truth, and turning a capital crime into no punishment at all is a quite large change. If you are picking and choosing what to accept or not then you can make up whatever you want, not judging or anything, Most people seem to pick and chooses what they want from their religious texts.
I have another matter I want post about but if I make another thread I will get told off so I will post it here. My sister uses chat GP to help her with random things and she always refers to it as him, she will say 'he said', 'I will ask him' etc. I asked her about that, I asked why she refereed to it as a he and she said that she did so because it sounds like a man and feels like a man. That's interesting and it's also probably true, most of the data it has been trained on was probably written by men.

Every single question about religion you have got answered in high school RE, you just weren’t focused enough to hear.
>>14570 You say that but nobody has answered them to my satisfaction. High School RE? My school didn't have any classes to do with religion.
>>14571 >My school didn't have any classes to do with religion. This explains a lot lmao
In Marcianism, the god of the old Testament is the devil that Jesus comes to defeat. In Arianism, they are simply different entities, and mother Mary is a goddess, too. Even in early Judaism, you can see clear echos of El/Elohkm being the father god of the Pantheon and Jahwe being his son the storm god. So yeah, what you get now is the result of many political fights and compromises, and losers being wiped out as heretics. Constantine thought one Empire, one Caesar, one God would match well and Rome won out, mostly.
>>14579 You aren't answering either... >>14580 Yes I understand that but it's not answering my question.
SO anyway, I have reached the conclusion that all Christians and Muslims are sinners and deserve the death penalty. If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, "Let us go and worship other gods" (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. Jesus is a false idol so you should all die.
>>14558 >It's not about wrongs or right but punishing people for crimes. Sinners will have their punishment in due time, unless they repent. Refer to the parable of the weeds to understand what's the Christian take on punishment. >There is no reason why they would not have been ready for the whole truth Perhaps they didn't want to hear the whole truth? In the old testament God describes the Jews as a "stiff necked people". >If you are picking and choosing what to accept or not then you can make up whatever you want Well, pick something and apply it in your life. If our soul is made "in the image of God" then surely you will realize whether punishing every wrong is the correct path, or whether forgiveness is the correct thing to do.
1st John 5:7 >For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
>>14646 Whoever the author of John was, it's pretty clear he wasn't even alive in the time of Jesus. He's just making theological points, many of them controversial even at his time.
>>14647 I think his name was John.
>>14647 Why don't even know if there ever was a Džiizös Kraist in real life
Jesus is clearly the interdimensional snake of Eden, waking up humanity across several aeons.
>>14668 Yet he only promised to be with us until the end of this aeon >Matthew 28:20 >I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age
>>14644 But Jehova very specifically states that this and other crimes should be punished by death. Also obviously people do need to be punished, you can't just let people murder others and then go 'ahh well, his punishment is that he goes to hell'. Jesus and his followers were Jews. He certainly doesn't seem to be a forgiving god. >>14646 That's not evidence. >>14668 I think this is the more likely scenario.
