German Bernts, where about would you say this kind of architecture comes form, apparently different parts of Germany have different white walled houses. Additional information, they grow wine in this area so I would think it's probably somewhere in the south west.
Looks like a stupid generalization/prejudice of Nürnbergstyled Towns. Thread can advance to /ss/ or /m/ imo.
A lot of small towns in South Germany look like this. The big citys were bombed to shit in WW2, so there is often nothing left. But most small towns still have that "ancient" core. Btw the white walled houses are called "Fachwerkhaus".
>>14170 I don't think KC has an architecture board and I don't speak German, those boards aren't architecture boards anyway. >>14178 But aren't those white walled houses in North Germany too? These houses have clay tiles and round turrets. What area has such features?
>>14180 I never travelled around in North Germany, so i dont know for sure. >clay tiles and round turrets Thats not very specific. You might check out Nördlingen or Regensburg for your investigation.
>>14183 Nordlingen doesn't have the details of Mondstadt such as the exposed wooden beams and the stone foundations, Nordlingen buildings are quite plain. Well there are a few with exposed wood but it's done diffrently. Also the turrets aren't the same and nor are the roofs, they are both clay but the Nordlingen ones lack that curve.
>>14186 If you have time to spare, you can travel the Fachwerkstraße with google street view: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Timber-Frame_Road
Regensburg isn't that similar either, I guess Regensburg and Mondstadt both have Gothic cathedrals though.
>>14187 I don't have time to spare, I am a busy person. Maybe I will look into the towns along the route at some point.
>>14192 >I don't have time to spare, I am a busy person.
>>14194 NEETs can be busy too!!!
>>14180 >But aren't those white walled houses in North Germany too? Rarely It's way more common in South Germany, how the bavarian said. t. Berlinbernd
>>14203 There is a town near where I live that was established by Prussians and it has Fachwerkhausen.
>>14217 We have them too in Berlin but rarely. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolk_(Spandau) No english article sadly

Here are the ones I mean.
This is actually more common in austria than germany, like with a lot of things the rest of the world thinks are german. If I were from austria I would be so pissed every time something from my culture is shown in media and everyone praises your neighbour country for it. Lmao.
>>14219 First pic reminds of Reetdach. Pretty comfy north german traditional housing. My mom owns such a house.
>>14220 austria is german too
>>14220 Hardly a downside when it gets packaged with HITLER being thought a German as an upside (for Austrians). Yes, I had to bring him up.
>>14222 It's possible that it was thatched. I don't think the roofs in my image are original.
>>14186 The style evolved over the centuries, this is how the typical German timber framing looked like in the Late Middle ages. Still quite small windows.
>>14227 That's true. Mondstatdt would be closer to that period in time.
Huh? One of my posts disappeared. It's still in the thread but not the main page.
Is genshin impact good? I want to waste my time with some gaymes but I don't want to play chinky winky china slop if it's not somewhat enjoyable.
rothenburg ob der tauber
>>14235 Ah, Khorinis, home.
>>14234 It's good ,I like it. It has really good music too. >>14235 It's nice but a bit garish.
>>14186 That's the attack on titan town, right?
>>14250 I don't know, I didn't really get far into Attack on Titan.
>>14250 Yes, also an important battle in the Thirty Years War took place near Nördlingen. It would have looked like this at the time.

>>14178 Here in Northern Hessen every town looks like that. Pic related, Fritzlar.
>>14318 >here in Northern Hesse >Bavariaball No invading! t. really in Northern Hesse
>>14321 Sorry, traveling currently. You from Kassel?
>>14355 Close. No, I'm not gonna meet some dude from the internet.
>>14379 Neither am I. I was merely curious where people in Nordhessen live. Me, countryside.
