Massgrave is propagating a far more nuanced and not as enthusiastic stance on Windows LTSC. Interesting... https://massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc_links
Regarding "Oh no, consoomer apps and games might not work" - I remember that similar things were said about Windows 2000 at the time but problems weren't. It was the best Windows ever in this Bernd's opinion. Not an endorsement of Windows, use Leenucks if at all possible.
>>14100 >Not an endorsement of Windows, use Leenucks if at all possible. If you want to spend your free time tweaking and fixing broken shit, yeah. I used Linux for years and am glad I made the switch to Windows, which is far more stable, because it isn't developed by neckbeards, but instead well paid software engineers.
>>14101 Nice try t. been using Linux for over 20 years
I'm on Windows 10 IoT LTSC and I like it, but if I can find a good alternative to MusicBee on Linux, and an easy way to type in Nipponese, I might switch to Mint or Debian.
>>14102 >loook at me with my unusable bullshit os oh im so tech savy with my thinkthing look at me kys homo
>>14117 Linux isn't that unusable, I'm tech illiterate for the most part and did just fine on Linux for a few months. I would've stayed on it because it was comfy but some things still need a bit of work. You're only going to run into issues if you try to run it on brand new hardware or if you mess around with the internals too much.
>>14112 >and an easy way to type in Nipponese But there are ways
What you are looking for is anthy for UIM with cannaserver. It's like the IME on windows and works even with nipponese keyboards.
>>14120 The instructions within Mint didn't help when I tried to set up a Japanese keyboard. There was no difference between languages basically when I started typing, but I'll give >>14121 a go in a VM because I don't think that's what Mint uses if memory serves me right.
>>14095 Don't care, love me LTSC, don't play games, easy as.
>>14101 at least on linux you can tweak. usually you don't have to but when you do there's an option. on windows you just have to suck it up.
I have been putting off doing this on my current machine because my newest component are very new and I don't know how they will cooperate with a version based on a 2021 build.
