Does your country have Christmas fairs? If so, have you already been to one this year?
I never liked them. Not as a kid, not as an adult. I don't like Glühwein or any of the food there. And it rarely ever snows, so you just stand around in stuffy clothes, listen to silly music and drink and eat things that taste too sweet.

There's a small one in my town. I never go there as I don't like crowds or overprized christmas kitsch.
Yes. No and I don't intent too.
>>28970 Yeah. Kind of. I am not a happy bunny.
>>28974 Aren't you excited to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour?
>>28975 I don't get excited for any kind of celebrations.
I wouldn't call them Xmas fairs, but rather tourist fairs. And no, good riddance I won't have to visit one ever again.
>>28972 Willisau? You have to be kidding me. That's only 30 minutes away from me.
>>28987 Do you speak French or German?
>>28987 Yep >>28990 We speak a German dialect
>>28990 What >>28994 said. We speak a German dialect here. I had French for 4 years in school and I still know absolutely nothing about it. Italian was voluntarily in the last year of school but the classes didn't happen as too little people wanted to attend. The last language is more or less dead by now and you don't learn it unless you live where it is spoken.
>>28966 Yes and no. I walked past one today, but I was more annoyed by all the people.
There's going to be one in my town soon but my town's a shithole full of crackheads and negers so I don't know if I'll go.
I went with my nephew. He didn't enjoy it. I didn't enjoy it. Christmas fairs are only fun for old people, who enjoy blocking aisles all year around at the groceries store while talking to each other.
Yes and yes, I will also probably do it again this weekend and no Bernd can stop me.
>>29060 The eggnog was delicious though. I will make some myself.
For this year No, but they are parades, but those haven’t started yet.
Yes, but it is since many years not that good anymore like it used to be. It was once the best christmas market in Berlin. No more middle-age market, where you could sit on comfy fur, drink Met, while listening to middle age musicians. Also no more sheeps and crib At least there are big funfair rides now But I will visit it anyway cause u can get nice gimmicks for christmas presents there like candles, incense sticks, etc.
Yes, every year religiously. I don't usually go, sometimes I end up passing by and it's pretty comfy and nice, I like the idea behind it and all, but I am not really a person that goes out that often and especially not places that could potentially be crowded. Also, this year for some reason, I'm not really feeling the Christmas spirit as I usually do, so the chances of actually going that were already pretty low has now become pretty much non-existent. It's sort of a big deal to see the Christmas tree getting lit up and stuff, there's a lot of people that follow that event closely. I usually just hear about it from other people and never actually go. I might consider going one time, though, it's pretty nice.
I haven't visited one for 20 years. Expensive shit i don't need, expensive food, Glühwein i don't like which gives me headaches. And much too many drunk people around. No, thanks.
>>29113 >drunk people Wut - I have never seen people really drunk at a christmas market. I should know, I sometimes get pretty drunk and I know where people do that. Glühwein is not a drink to get piss-drunk on.
>>29148 Most people when they say "drunk" do not mean shouting incomprehensibly and forgetting your own name.
>>29150 And when I say drunk, three cups of Glühwein over 2+ hours are not enough for my definition. Four are.
>>29108 Spandauer Weihnachtsmarkt isn’t that good, I avoid it and won’t go this year.
>>29247 last years were even worse. two years ago it was split between citadelle and Altstadt. now it's almost like it used to be but still not that good
>>29253 Ah that explains why it was so small, I only went to the Altstadt. I’m tired of them in general though, today I was at a different one and it was so fucking stuffed with people, hated it. And cold af.
