not bad for england gonna enjoy watching norway too, they're gonna do better than people expect scotland vs brazil will b laff idk what a cabo verde is
How the fuck did curaçao qualify
I'm sad that they're going to print the Swiss and Qatari flag with the same aspect ratio for that match. Bad enough when they do it with a 2:3 or 3:5 flag.
>>28737 I guess US, Canada, and Mexico went through directly as hosts, so Caribbean nations got a chance to qualify

So what the fuck is this shitty world cup even? We are playing 3 non-countries in the group now? WHo the fuck wants to see Germany play Curaoca? Except for the hundred millions of chinese betting on this shit? I really used to love this game once.
>>28743 in practice the final qualifying match just happens in the group stages instead other matches should be ok
>>28744 >in practice the final qualifying match just happens in the group stages instead With all the shit they changed, this is just so open to manipulation. And that is what this is really about. It is the betting market. The matches themselves are unimportant. I have not cared for our national team in years and they should easily advance. But for other nations teams this could be really shitty. Just looking at France for example. If they get another proper team, they might drop out in the group stage. WHich will get huge betting wins, but would be totally unfair compared to the teams Germany has to play here.
>48 nations what were the qualifiers even for?
>>28750 They are already planning to add more teams.
Curaçao will keep the curse on German.
>>28750 >48 nations so the knock-out round will now be the round of 24? or still 16?
>>28754 >knock out will be round of 32. what the actual fuck.
>>28754 All the teams will play all other teams again and it is gonna last forever. And then the victory team will be crowned among thos ahow had the best female footballers 80% and male identifying ones 20 percent.

This guys will fuck germany.
I wonder how ivory Coast got the world to always use the French spelling unlike France. It's definitely something you would expect the French to do. Like how the Chinese and koreans demand we use their surname forename name ordering when writing their names.
>>28743 I gave up on international football once they removed the rule you can switch sides even after playing a game for an international team. Mercenary sports can die
>>28766 it's done at the request of the country itself in the UN's official languages, e.g. Czechia recently changed it funnily we've got masculine le Belarus in the French version
>>28766 >unlike France You just used the French spelling though.

abd we got curacao! Yay yay
>>28799 imagine choosing to be remembered for that hairstyle of all things
now, if he does it, I'd be truly amazed
>>28746 >looking at France for example. If they get another proper team I don't know what you're whining about - we'll have Mbappe vs. Haaland
>>29081 My point is that these groups are a joke, because they are completely unbalanced. It looks as if they will get Poland on top. If I was french I would be fuming. And all these shitty microcountries will not get a single point. But the fucking media is probably gonna celebrate it as "beautiful story" if one of them manages to score a goal.
>>28760 Uh oh Germany, Curacao bear Bermuda 7-0 to make it to Group E. You know what that means.
>>29082 >Lets make a world cup >Yeah dont include the whole world, you know?
>>29086 The whole world is included. That's what qualification rounds are for. But having so many countries in the final tournament is just shit. It also makes it less special for these smaller countries to qualify, because it is so easy now. It is like giving everyone an A on their tests. It becomes worthless.
>>29086 >>29087 I'd add 2 more points on what Germany says: - this number of games dilutes attention, all these matches become totally blurred if you try to watch them all - you can't even recall most of them in a year; so it's better to watch fewer but more competitive - while there are exceptions (like Greece winning the Euro), most of these exotic teams show poor football: no strategy, no tactics, low skill and stamina, feeble fighting spirit - it's like watching professionals compete with the kids from down the block
>>29092 >- this number of games dilutes attention, Very true. I noticed myself how much less I care for football since they added so many matches. There is now almost every day a game you could theoratically be interested in. But because it is so often, you stop caring.

>>29082 thats only round 1 of 2. these teams need to win 2 games to qualify. than there is the other 2, dark blue FIFA in opening post.
I feel like group E is a disadvantage for Germany because playing against these also-rans is not going to prepare the team for capable opponents after that.
>>28783 I unironically watched that one with coworkers at a Greek restaurant that advertised "one free ouzo for every German goal". At some point, they just put the ouzo bottle on the table and said "help yourselves" :D :D :D
>>29156 Ah okay. I cannot even pretend to care anymore.
>>29159 That reminds me of the "Free Krustyburger for every American gold medal".
